History & Archeological Center at Gyeongnam Development Institute is a professional institution specializing in investigation of cultural assets that are buried underground
Welcome to our homepage!!
‘Buried Cultural Artifacts’ are cultural assets in the form of relics and historical remains that exist in places unseen with human eyes, such as underground or the bottom of the sea. Preservation and protection of such buried cultural artifacts are in fact equal to regaining of our history and culture.
Center of History & Culture, Gyeongnam Development Institute will devote itself in carrying out its role as a professional organization for investigation of buried cultural assets in systematic and scientific ways, as these scattered artifacts are damaged and destroyed by rapid advancement of national land planning. In addition, the center will reflect Gyeongnam Province on the history of Korea through proper historical researches, arrangement and investigation, thus contributing to its advancement of cultural history and heritage.
